This page has nothing to do with frames or shadowboxes. It simply provides a place for me to do a brain dump. Enjoy. Or not.

I've long been a fan of Leroy Jethro Gibbs of NCIS fame, and from the start I admired his list of rules. It inspired me to compile my own list. If you are interested, here they are:
Bob’s Rules
1. The person beside you needs you to be kind.
2. Accept blame. Share credit.
3. Know where you’re going before you leave home.
4. Don’t waste energy on unimportant things. Most things are unimportant.
5. Always carry a knife.
6. When a comment can be taken more than one way, give it the most positive interpretation possible.
7. Never let feelings get in front of principles.
8. The gun is always loaded.
9. It’s OK to pay a pro to do something well, but learn how to do it yourself anyway.
10. Listen more and speak less than you want to.
11. Take every opportunity to express gratitude.
12. Feelings make lousy guides.
13. Be quiet and think.
14. Eat what you love. In moderation.
15. The driver picks the music.
16. Forgiveness is necessary. Forgetting is not.
17. Circumstances don’t change principles.
18. When you’re doing what you should be doing, accidents don’t happen.
19. Judge behavior, but don’t assume you know the motives behind the behavior.
20. Never lie, but especially never lie to yourself.
21. You are what you do when no one is watching.
22. To learn to overcome problems, study history’s great generals (start with Lee and Grant).
23. Be slow to take offense and even slower to give it.
24. Never pass up an opportunity to learn something new.
25. Cheaters cheat. Liars lie. Thieves steal. Don’t be surprised when they do it to you.
26. Few things are more valuable than time with people you love. Treat them accordingly.
27. Laugh as often as you can.
28. Your friends either make you better or worse. Choose carefully.
29. Watch your mouth. Nothing causes more damage than ill-chosen words.
30. Put it back where it belongs.
31. Someone is always watching.
32. Celebrate success, no matter whose.
33. How you dress and how you speak tell strangers how to respond to you.
34. Conventional wisdom is frequently (usually?) wrong.
